These two creatures are the same pattern but called 'cute bunny'. I started off making the 'bunny' with some pink cotton yarn but when I got to adding the ears I realised that it was never going to look like a rabbit and it was resembling a little piglet. So I made it a little curly tail and gave him an acorn to hold. I followed the same pattern again to make the rabbit but altered the ears, making them longer. Much better! And if there was any doubt about the bunny I gave him a little carrot button. I loved the buttons on both of these Ami's. I think this was the start of seriously thinking about embellishments as the sign of a well thought-out piece.
Both of animals now have new homes as they were given to some of the children's cousins at Christmas.
